AGRICULTURE, INCLUSION AND A CHANGING TERRITORY

In a transforming suburban district of Turin, the historic Cassotti Balbo farmhouse is coming back to life. Here, the land, water and vision of three young farmers come together to shape a new way of cultivating and inhabiting the city.

The project tells the story of the rebirth of GrowUp Urban Farms, an urban agricultural enterprise that brings together agriculture, sustainability and social inclusion. Among greenhouses, cultivated fields, animals and evolving spaces, the farmhouse becomes a place of connection with the neighbourhood and the city, where traditional agricultural practices and innovative solutions coexist with educational and social activities.

The images explore the dialogue between tradition and innovation, nature and human endeavour, telling the story of the practical idealism of those who cultivate while building: agriculture as a regenerative, human and urban act.

In un quartiere torinese di periferia in trasformazione, la storica cascina Cassotti Balbo torna a vivere. Qui la terra, l’acqua e la visione di tre giovani agricoltori si incontrano per dare forma a un nuovo modo di coltivare e abitare la città.

Il progetto racconta la rinascita di GrowUp Urban Farms, una realtà agroalimentare urbana che unisce agricoltura, sostenibilità e inclusione sociale. Tra serre, campi coltivati, animali e spazi in divenire, la cascina diventa un luogo di relazione con il quartiere e la città, dove pratiche agricole tradizionali e soluzioni innovative convivono con attività educative e sociali.

Le immagini esplorano il dialogo tra tradizione e innovazione, natura e progetto umano, raccontando l’idealismo concreto di chi coltiva mentre costruisce: l’agricoltura come atto rigenerativo, umano e urbano.
